Batam is a popular recreational destination amongst Singaporeans given its close proximity and its low living costs. Nevertheless, this is my first time being there because we wanted to go overseas, but couldn't afford too many days off. We joined a tour group and it cost only $50 for the whole day trip (including lunch)?! Tour itinerary includes endless shopping opportunities, sightseeing at a local temple and a small amusement park, and a self-paid massage session (which bro and I skipped to explore a local shopping mall instead).
Would I visit again? Maybe in another few years!
