With the Golden Jubilee coming up, it was no surprise that the town is draped in red all around.
Aren't we a little too enthusiastic with the red decoration, which is some three months before national day??? Then I realised that the redness is also for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games. I was not aware of the SEA Games since I was not following the news closely and also because Hong Kong was not part of the SEA, so I was not exposed to the concept until I returned Home. Anyways, being the hosting state, there were many activities and events lined up over the Games period.
Long story short, the boyfriend and I found ourselves at Kallang real early this fine morning to start on our first date. Meeting at 6am-ish to be exact. I don't remember ever waking up that early other than to do last minute mugging for exams oops.
Reason for our early presence? This!

(Please note that the moon is still visible = it is really that early)
I was skeptical at first because there is never 100% free stuff in this world. But whatever; it's hot air balloon ride yo!
I would describe the experience as taking a noisy and hot hydraulic lift up to the third floor, then taking the lift back down. Heh nevertheless an interesting experience which I would recommend!
After that, we went to terrorise children by participating in the various station games before making our way to Suntec for the oil painting exhibition "The Singapore Story". The boyfriend really outdid himself in doing so much planning for our amazing first date. (≧∀≦)/
(Although it didn't feel like a first date cos we have been hanging out for so many other times previously lol)
