That Fire Dragon

After the tour at Pok Fu Lam Village few days ago, I decided to ask J along to see the fire dragon in live action! As mentioned previously, almost all the buses along PFL Road reaches the village, so we just hopped onto a random bus from school and hopped off right at the vantage point.

Two lanes of traffic were blocked off, with many volunteers in white helping with the crowd control.
Couldn't capture a photo to do it justice, but there are two "balls" to attract the dragon (right), while dozens of men are maneuvering the "dragon". The basic structures were made of bamboo and straw, while lighted up by electric bulbs and joss sticks.
Super long dragon. (and the excited bus passengers lol)

Tip:
- Please stay some distance away from the dragon as the joss sticks will drop during the dance, and might burn anyone close enough.
- The smoke from the joss sticks stings the eyes too so no point standing too near.
- The fire dragon will dance twice during the mid-autumn festival. Once around 7pm, and another time around 10pm. Do check the timings on the village Facebook. The dragon will head to Waterfall Bay to be extinguished by the sea at the end of the event.

After the 7pm dance, we headed into the village's common area to soak in the atmosphere.

Decorating a small dragon and lighting up more joss sticks for the next round of dancing.

We left the village after that because we didn't want to wait around till 10pm. And headed to the nearby ChiFu Garden for dinner.
Yoshinoya steamboat! I'll miss this when I leave HK.
Empty snowskin mooncake rack at the supermarket. Sad :(
