Since it is a public holiday again, J and I visited the Bride's Pool to check another location off her to-do list. Bride's Pool is located at the northeast of Hong Kong, and is situated between two country parks. Story has it that a bride fell off her sedan (the ancient wooden box like transportation ... not the car) on her way to her wedding, and the pool is named after her as memory sake?
Gentle stream
The signage looks more like a tombstone....
Climbing up some rocks to reach the waterfall upstream.
Since it was a public holiday, there were many people enjoying the pool. Many domestic helpers were swimming while a family was trying to catch small fished using plastic bottles. Of course, a lecherous man observing all the swimmers in bikini (and offered J a ride back to civilization... yuck)

Walked 4km for this "English/ American breakfast" because we don't have a car, and there is no bus or minibus along this route. There is a queue since many hikers from the surrounding country parks ended their trip at this point to catch a minibus out to civilization. Priced at $48 for mine and $58 for J's deluxe set, it is worth the buck and the walk. But then I could cook this at home too lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bride's Pool is accessible by bus 275R from Tai Po Market MTR/ Bus Station, but only on weekends and public holidays.
