How do the elderly folks in your community start their stories? In Hong Kong, we often heard of stories starting with: "In those days when policemen were still wearing shorts....". In Singapore, we may hear about: "In those whereby a bowl of noodles only costed a few cents...".

As part of reminiscence, there was a 50 cents Fest organised in Chinatown, whereby selected foods are sold for just SGD$0.50! Sadly, due to the long queues and the horrifying crowds, we only managed to do a quick look around. Our moods were not dampen much though, since there's so much other delicious food found in Chinatown!
