Christmas Wonderland

Although many people have been moaning about how the traditional holidays have been commercialised and what not, I do not see what's the fuss about, especially when more tourist traps are set up, creating more spending/ job/ entertainment opportunities for those who do not want to mope around at home.

One of the temporary hangout points include Gardens by The Bay, where some fun rides has been set up for the Christmas season. But of course, the fake snowfall every night was attractive enough to draw us tropical beings there.

I went down with my parents and realised that there was another large exhibit before the Wonderland. We later found out that this exhibition is called "The Future of Us", which portrays how Singapore could be like in the future.
A short clip reflected onto a dome screen.
Models of futuristic housing apartment blocks.
Rotating vegetable planters at the side of the apartment blocks so everyone can get fresh produce outside their windows.
Cool set of swings which will transform the kinetic energy to produce bubble clouds in the shape of stars and crescent. The kids were so excited to swing higher and higher to see the bubble clouds in the clear nightsky.
The Christmas Wonderland. (with snow)
The "snow" is actually fine bubbles which flutters down between the lighted structure and the trees.
& it lasted for about 5 minutes only. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A good reminder for us not to be complacent in building up our nation.
