Anyways, C from my Hong Kong Studies class and I have always talked about hanging out together, but we never ever got the time or effort to plan anything substantial. So when we saw the long weekend ahead, we knew that we had to plan something or we would never hang out ever again due to busyness and laziness.
They missed out Easter Sunday/ Ching Ming Festival, which falls on the same Sunday.
(This is not just HKU holiday but the public holiday of HK ☉_☉)

The thing about C is that she is as well travelled around HK as me, so we didn't know where we should go for our mini adventure. In the end, we decided to go to Nam Sang Wai at the New Territories, even though we don't know much about the place other than its name. With the help of Google and various travel blogs, we made our way uncertainly to this photo-worthy place well hidden in the northwest of HK.
It was a long walk towards the main activity grounds, but there were many points along the way which are picture-worthy.
Main activity ground!
One of the "must capture" scene - the abandoned house.
I was joking to C that I like all places which are screensaver worthy lol. But seriously, isn't this screensaver worthy???

Another "must capture" scene - the bridge.
(We thought that the couple splurged on getting a lighting guy for their graduation photo; turns out that the lighting guy is actually waiting for them to leave so that he can light the scene for a wedding gown shot.)
Typical snack for all outdoor adventure ^.^
Last attraction: Boat ride.
May I quote the guy queuing in front of me - "They demolished the bridge to scam our money."
Well said, well said.
*applause*
The boat ride cost us HKD$6/ pax, which I thought must be the most lucrative business in the vicinity. To be honest, they could just tie the boats end to end and have us hop over to the over side. At least they manually rowed the boat 180 degrees so that us passengers feel less cheated.
& of course, street food at Yuen Long before making our way back to the HK island.
