It started out in a small bag (the one at the bottom) in September.
I had initially gave up on the potato plant because it was not sprouting. But then I found the small sprout just when I was going to dispose the bag. The small sprout was transplanted into my plot in November.

Actually, I didn't know when to harvest my potato plant. The other participants had already harvested theirs in Dec, when I was back home. I just left my plant in the ground in hopes that a longer growth period = more potatoes. In the end, it started yellowing and then withered when I visited it today. The stalk came out of the soil like a chopstick in rice. I then dug under the soil bare handed for the smooth balls of potatoes. The harvest weighted 200g in total. While I was craving some cream soup, I was too lazy to get the ingredients to cook from scratch. Boiled potato salad it is!
