过三爆四

Being in a university with a long history has it's perks; especially the numerous rituals that could make an anthropologist swoon.

*Anthropology homework mode*
The following event is called 劲过饭, which is one of the common rituals that HKU students partake in, in hopes of getting good grades. The name, "superpass meal", is self explanatory that all participants would be blessed with a grade much more higher than an average pass.
Do homework until siao liao (-‸ლ)

Anyways I was pretty much looking forward to this event because I really need the "good luck" for saving my grades. Not that I couldn't cope with the max credit but it could really help if I could slack throughout the semester while acing my modules ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌

So the main points of the whole event were:
1) Roasted pig
2) 写挥春 (Writing the red slips with auspicious phrases)

Fellow groupmate for core module project
Course club president chopping the roasted pig on behalf of all of us. Apparently the pig should be hacked into pieces instead of chopping it with a sawing motion according to auspicious practices.
Only a small group of course mates attended... others already scored too well so no need for extra luck? 눈_눈
Orientation group mates!
Group mates for ice-breaking game.

Who placed the trash box at this popular photo spot?
I hope so too!

Koped a few pieces of roasted pig because it's so so yummy! The writing part is quite difficult for me cause I wrote in traditional Chinese characters + my handwriting is like shit to begin with. Nevertheless, I thought I wrote legible enough lol

& then Janelle, Rainbow and I headed down to Water Street for dessert.
I'm forever ordering steamed egg/milk/ginger pudding
