Play Till We Drop

Since it's the holidays and all,
the old generation girls decided to play hard till we drop dead ヽ(‘ ∇‘ )ノ

Starting by Karaoke Buffet @ 6pm-ish
Did I mention how impressed I am???

After much comparison, we ended up at Neway because they charge by head, as compared to RedMr (our previous hangout), which charges by room.

The concept of karaoke buffet is that whoever wants to sing can sing while the "audience" can grab some food while waiting for their turns. The food is not bad, and reminds me of the Sakura buffet back home. The buffet lasts from 6pm to 10pm if I'm not wrong, so there's plenty of time to munch.
 Sashimi + squid sushi ♥

We left Neway around 4.30am, when we ran out of songs to sing. That's almost 10 hours of singing and all of us already look like (⊙_◎) or (x_x)
(The official closing time is 6am if I'm not wrong so it's ok to stay longer~)

& the best thing is that the total price is just around HKD$200 (SGD$30) for 12 hours of fun + unlimited food for the first 4 hours? WORTH IT!!! Too bad the drinks are not free flowing so maybe it's good to bring your water bottle!

+ There's an attached toilet inside the room so there's no need to worry missing your song!!!

& off we go to our next destination:
Tea @ Sun Hing
We were "too late" the previous time we came, because apparently by 8am-ish the only customers coming in were of an average age of 60+... Seriously... we were the youngest in the restaurant by then...

So what's the difference in patronising at 4am-ish? (which is already later than the normal HKU student timing...) There's more dim sum to choose! Not sure why, but the previous time the restaurant seem to only provide char siu bao or steam pork rib rice or porridge... Must be because these are the more "sensible" dishes to order - filling enough to start the day...

Anyways, the 炸鲜奶 (deep fried milk) is the most recommended dish amongst HKU students, and is only available before dawn. It is softer than tofu and taste of milk + custard wrapped inside a thin shell of tempura flour. Quite a unique dish and worth a try!

The restaurant is forever crowded so be prepared to share tables + squeeze squeeze squeeze + endure the glares from frequent patrons who thinks you have taken their usual seats.

We then split off to go home to rest before going to Causeway Bay for Ramen!
Featuring Ichiran Ramen @ Causeway Bay @ 4pm with Janelle
First thing first, I'm a sucker for noodles and selected Japanese style foods, which is why I jumped at the chance to try Ichiran. What sets this stall apart from others is that it is 1) Open 24/7; 2) Catered specifically for singletons/ loners.

The concept of the restaurant is that each customer has their own "cubicle", and even the waiter is hidden behind the veil, which is well suited for people who are allergic to other people :;(∩´﹏`∩);:

The pricing wise is (;☉_☉)

I spent a total of  HKD$111 which is about SGD$18.
However I think it is worth the try, especially when it is customised to suit each person's personal taste. Refer to the order chit and you'll have the general idea! Anyways there's a "system guide" and various advertisements around each cubicle to clue you in on what to order.

I like how there's a personal iced water tap because I actually like to drink iced water and the wait staff at all restaurants seem to hate refilling people's glasses... So nobody's gonna stop me from drinking all the water I want! ( ・ㅂ・)و

After marking your chit, you'll need to press the button for the waiter to collect your order chit, then wait patiently for your noodles. They will close the veil after your food is served. That's when you can take all the selfies you want and nobody's gonna judge you! I'm trying to master selfies with my main camera (the one at the back of my phone) so I look abit off. & also because I was just singing Karaoke the whole night previously!

It is worth trying for bragging rights, but it's really hurting for the wallet! But still cheaper than flying to Japan to try the authentic one (which I may be 60 y/o when I finally have enough money to go T_T so sad)
