Marching onto higher grounds

One of the questions posed during our Intro to Social Work was: "Have you guys hike up to the Peak from HKU before?"

While I've been to the Peak several times, I don't recall hiking up all the way from school... There's the tourist trap called "Peak Tram" or public buses/ mini buses readily accessible for a reason.

So with 2 weeks worth of holiday left before I fly back home, the natural thing would be to strike this out of my ever-growing to do list!

The Peak covered with mist. Spring weather =/
The greenery at the beginning of the route (after leaving HKU grounds)
Mid route -
Sheung Wan/ Central on top;
Pok Fu Lam Reservoir/ Cyberport/ Lamma Island at the bottom
Random waterfall right before seeing the Peak!!
Top!
Through the binoculars
I was surprised that Tsim Sha Tsui looks so clear even though it's so far awayyyyyy
Then we bused down to Central to find Sing Heung Yuen, which is often featured in food blogs and other lifestyle related publications. Yet given the venue setting and food presentation, I found it quite overrated and overpriced... I mean... 3 sets of patrons sharing a round wooden folding table + HKD$40 for a bowl of noodles & a drink? Furthermore, I have this suspicion that this stall is operating rent free, since it is positioned at the neck of an alley, which normally would be regarded as "no man's land" by buildings around the stall. Verdict? No go.

Tip of the day: Tram/ Bus/ Cab up the Peak and stroll down instead! & tea in HKU is so much cheaper ;D
