CNY #5

Since I didn't get out of the house yesterday, Tourist Tuesday is postponed to today =)
& it's also a self date of sorts
because while everybody is enjoying the festive season with their families and loved ones, I thought I could use some love too!

Traveled all the way to Shau Kei Wan for Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence. Obviously I'm there for the free admission on Wednesdays ;)
Thought I got to the wrong place because the whole route to the museum looks like this. I could only trust Google Maps and the direction signs along the way. & also the family with small kids walking along the way. One can never go wrong if there's families with small kids around!
See? Small kids! & We're on the right track!
Entrance looks discouraging because there's only a car park...
Big loading gun mid way up the lone museum building...
It used to be placed opposite HKU's New West Gate! =O
After watching a documentary in the museum building, I realised there's more things to see higher above. So surprised to see it leads up to the hill extension!
Tseung Kwan O, according to the map below
Devil's Peak, according to the map above
Panorama!
Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter

Wanted to head to the Hong Kong Film Archive at the opposite end of the typhoon shelter. Too bad I ran out of time. Maybe next time!
