And apart from gambling (which I don't partake in), I have no clue as to what Macau offers (food? Portuguese egg-tarts??)
So when my ex-church friends suggested an outing there, I jumped at the chance! Presenting to you, my first time in Macau =)

Mentaiko Bread + Hot Chocolate for breakfast
Yummy goodness =)

Ain't tissues in Hong Kong too cute to wipe your nose with??

So the ferry kinda works like taking the plane... First you buy the tickets, then go in to clear customs, then wait at the holding area to confirm your seat arrangements. Different than inland ferry within Hong Kong whereby you just start queuing after paying money...
First stop is Guia Hill & Lighthouse
We cabbed to the bottom of the hill and decided to tram up and walk down (energy efficient right?), and realised that single tram ride is MOP$2 while round trip is MOP$3 (< SGD$0.50). Seriously it's cheaper than a kid's bus ride back home... obviously we bought round trip tickets!

Both Wayne and I are quite fascinated with the lock at the side of the lighthouse

Then we bused to the city centrals and had lunch at the tour guide's (Wayne) favourite restaurant. Erm more like he usually frequents this place cos it's near to his workplace; and he sometimes has workdays longer than 12 hours so he doesn't bother to venture further.
Calms in white wine, Portuguese chicken chop rice, Portuguese beef tongue, baked pork chop rice
It's funny how Wayne ordered the meal with such practice that the waitress needed him to slow down ranting off our orders. Oh and this restaurant prints the average bill amount out below the total bill, so that we don't need to take out our phone calculators. This is what customer service is! =)
Part 3: Walking around town

Throngs of humans everywhere! Not sure if everybody is here to stock up on Chinese New Year goodies or what but seriously seriously crowded TTM

Jeff's expression: What are you taking a photo of?

This guy!
(ad for some durian puff shop around the alley)

Food:
Street food

Sharks fin for dinner =)
The waitress just showed 180degree change of attitude when she realised we were going to share 2 pots of sharks fin amongst us 5 people. Transferring us to a smaller table (after we settled down initially) and curt when we asked what's the difference between the two pots (got MOP$40 difference). The expensive one has Chinese ham on top and has slightly bigger portion of ingredients...
Of course, how could we afford to eat like the other tourists, having one pot to each person, and leaving almost half of it untouched??
Walked to the casinos to catch a free ride back to the ferry terminal. Got promised free drinks and food but then I only saw mineral water (and we didn't dare to ask la...)

Glitz and glam
Took a ferry half hour before our original ferry and got "upgraded" to the premium area, where there's free wifi? (not that I receive any coverage =/)
Anyways, fun trip and so looking forward to explore the other parts of Macau next time!
