What is that you will never fail to see?
Humans
Lots of humans
Ton lots of humans
Which is why I dislike going out to some of the more "tourist" places
so so crowded
being shoved around is not my hobby =/
Then: let me introduced one of my latest trips: Night Tour!
There are still humans around; at least much more significantly lesser
that's how I like it =)
First Stop: Gardens by the Bay (approx 10.30pm)

Dad and I!
We ventured to discover this go-green initiative where organic waste is transformed into energy to power the vicinity. Cool right?
No one's fighting with you to take a picture with these crocs! Seriously should just visit at night (after opening hours) if you are too cheapskate cool to enter the glass domes and still want tourisy photos to show off. Oh, I'm surfing with a croc here =)
Second Stop: Mount Faber! (approx 12am)
Was supposed to be coffee grinding factory but since the main worker is on-leave and the boss don't want to work on a public holiday, we ended up at Gardens by the Bay (just now) and now here...
With the merlion
Picture didn't do any justice...
Standing at a high point at night and looking down brings me much joy and a sense of serenity. It just feels so safe to be staying in this majestic city which I called home! ♥
Third Stop: Lau Pa Sat (approx 1 am)
Hard at work!
Drinks, Satay, Dim Sum, Wanton noodles to keep ourselves awake
Forth Stop: Veg Wholesaler @ Pasir Panjang! (approx 2am)
Just a very very long stretch filled with many many different stalls selling similar products. All the vegetable you could ever see in the wet market/ supermarket/ atas supermarket can be seen here. Oh yes, the price can be almost 50% cheaper if you are buying enough to feed your home estate.
It was tempting to buy something back, given that the vegetable looks very fresh and is still resting in their own comfortable cartons. Too bad we cannot imagine eating the same type of vegetable for the next few days =/
Forth Stop: Jurong Fishery Port (approx 3am)
Honestly, we could smell the destination before even seeing the entrance. The "fresh fishes" were kinda disappointing to me; I was expecting a pulse from those creatures... Nope, dead like a fish -,-'''
The cool thing about this place is that visitors can walk across the whole "market" via the overhead bridge. See whatever you want at own time, own target. At least we didn't feel pressurised to keep moving just because we're standing there in amazement while the sellers look at us with their "are-you-going-to-buy-or-are-you-wasting-my-time" look.
Look look see see, my dad decided to buy some fishes home just because. I wanted the fake abalone slices just because. We sound like some spoilt brats...
Armed with lots of purchases and really really tired
(hello everybody had work/school the day before)
(hello everybody had work/school the day before)
& in amazement, we flagged a cab just outside church and reached home about 5am. Tired? Yes. Too bad the adrenaline from the sight-seeing was still keeping my senses overloaded to the edge of sleeplessness.
